Well, I'm talking about something else :)
28 days until my SUMMER break is OVER...
I can't believe it!! I have enjoyed my time being off... In approx. 28 days I will be making my usual 20 mile drive one way to work. I will have to say that I love the district that I work for and I love my second grade team that I teach with, but I don't love the fact that it's already time to go back...
One week of "STAFF DEVELOPMENT" to see all of the changes that the district is going to implement this year and exciting workshops to re-motivate us teachers...motivation seems to be harder and harder for me to find these days...HA HA :)
SO...I guess for the next 28 days I will live it to the fullest, enjoy sleeping in, no makeup, not dressing up, swimming all day and playing outside with Hannah, maybe a few mini vacations!! I love SUMMER TIME and I love my JOB!!
On a more serious note...please do pray for the upcoming school year, the students and the staff who face daily challenges!! I covent your prayers for wisdom and strength, as I have found out that teaching goes far beyond "the books." It is truley a passion for the children!
Isaiah 33:2
Oh, Lord, be gracious to us, we long for you; be our strength EVERY morning and our salvation in times of distress.
~Henry Brooks Adams
This is a good post! I loved the scripture and tid-bit at bottom of page. Yes, time has moved fast, but we haven't stopped all summer! Gotta get a shopping day planned! We can do this!:),Love Mom.
ReplyDeleteI love your choice of the Psalm. Wow~ Can't believe our summer is almost gone. I will be praying for you as you begin your new school year. You are impacting so many little ones lives.

Hi Brandi! It's so nice to meet you. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI too work in an elementary school. I am not a teacher (have a daughter who is) but I am an Instructional Assistant. I worked in the school system for 10 years while raising our daughters, then left for 8 years and just came back this last school year. I'm loving my summer off also. I really enjoy working with the students and the teachers. It is very fulfilling to hope you can make a difference in a child's life. I have many wonderful teacher friends, so I can sense somewhat a lot about you too.
I became a follower of yours today so I can come back and be inspired again. I'm so glad you stumbled upon my blog.
Praying with you for those we will impact this next school year.
