Pick em'...

That is just what we did this morning! Mom, Hannah and I went to Blueberry Hill Farm in Edom to pick blueberries. I wasn't too sure that I wanted to do this when mom first mentioned it, but I LOVED IT!!

Rows and rows of blueberries... we were just walking, talking, laughing and picking!! It seemed like forever to fill a basket, but we did it...between the three of us in an hour we filled a big basket!! I know that doesn't sound like much, but it was HOT, and those pretty little tasty berries are tiny :)

Then... the best part... inside, air-conditioned, sweet tea, and gooooood eatin'!! We went to "The Shed" in Edom for lunch...WOW what a good little country restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves and then headed home for the swimming pool :)

We are already planning a trip back next week, but EARLIER, MORE HANDS and extra batteries for the camera...ha ha :)

I enjoyed spending the day with MY TWO BEST FRIENDS...Mom and Hannah!! Here are a few pics from the day....

Way to go DIRT DOBBERS!!!

Way to go DiRt DoBbErS!!! Second place!!!

Hannah has played on the same T-ball team for three years and each year we have gone to the playoffs!! The coaches are wonderful!! We had a lot of first year players this year, this sworm of DIRT DOBBERS...STING :) I love being a mom of a sports fanatic, I really get into the games! I know my husband seceretly loves it too...even though he stands way at the end, leaning up against the fence :) Hannah has a true talent for sports and LOVES IT!! I wish there was a fall league for little ones...anyhow I just wanted to show off my sweet one!!

Why?

Why is often a common question.

I find myself asking "why" alot lately, dealing with some of lifes most difficult situations... I usually don't get an answer and I guess that I'm not supposed to, but one heavy on my heart at this moment is...

WHY...
Are the people that you love the most, often the ones to hurt you the worst?

Do do people say hurtful things?

Can't you understand that my deepest desire is to show love and compassion towards everyone?

Do people continue to speak untruthful things and run someone's heart right into the ground?

I could list many more, but I think you get the drift...
This is something that I can't understand. God says that there are some things that we will not understand in life, but WHY?!?!?!? I don't know, I pray that God will heal the wounds in my spirit, I will continue to display a smile and hide the hurt that I feel in my heart.

Quiet

Quiet.
That's what I'm listening to at this moment.

As mentioned in a previous post I am a second grade teacher and usually have a house full of kiddo's that are here playing with Hannah, I don't experience "quiet" very often...
Hannah went to stay the night at my brothers house with Kyle and Kacey and my husband has gone to visit his parents. All the laundry is done, I just had a yard sale last weekend so everything is cleaned out...I don't know what to do with myself !! However, I do feel a little guilty. I love having a housefull and I love tending to the every needs of the special kids in my life...I could do it every day and love it even more, but I think for now...
I will find a good movie to watch on TV and just enjoy the "quiet." I love my life and all of the ways that I am blessed!!

Summer Fun!!!

Reflection...

As I reflect the days events, I realize just how God' s favor is really upon my life. I find my self whining and complaining about everything that is "wrong" or "things" that I don't have, but I fail to Praise and Thank him for what I do have and just how blessed I really am. Here are just a few...I could never list them all!
** I OFTEN have a multitude of children at my house, the neighborhood kids, my neice and nephew and their friends...and I love it, but more than that I love the fact that they WANT to be here, which only tells me that they feel safe and loved.
**I have a beautiful home, a nice vehicle, a wonderful family (immediate and extended), I visit with my mom several times a day, I have a host of close friends, and most of all I have Christ in my heart!
** I have an awesome job, I am a second grade school teacher, I get to love on children all day and teach them things that will impact their lives...I GET THE SUMMER OFF :) to spend with my precious daughter Hannah!
Count your blessings...name them one by one...my list could go on forever....

What kids are supposed to do! Play in the dirt, spray each other with water, eat popsicles and HAVE FUN!! My daughter Hannah (on the right) and her friend (Presley) are playing outside today enjoying the days of Summer ;) I love it that they are not afraid to get dirty!!
